We are SOLD on Jefferson County
and would like to share a little information on the area with you.
Jefferson County is one of the latest suburban hot spots in the St. Louis area. Total Population from the 2000 Census was 198,099. Arnold Missouri which is one of Jefferson Counties most northern communities borders St. Louis County on the southern side. Heading south along Interstate 55 or Hwy 61-67 you will come to many towns, Imperial, Historic Kimmswick, Barnhart, Pevely, Heculaneum, Crystal City and Festus Missouri. South of Festus is Bloomsdale which is part of Ste. Genevieve County. Heading south west from Festus along Hwy 67 you will come to Olympian Villiage, DeSoto and Valley Mines. Festus connects to Hillsboro via Hwy A. The city of Hillsboro which is the county seat is almost in the center of Jefferson County. On the Western side of the County you have Fenton Missouri to the north which is seated partly in St. Louis County and part in Jefferson County. If you travel south along Hwy 30 you will come to High Ridge, Byrnes Mill, House Springs and Cedar Hill. There are many more small unincorporated townships Victoria, Mapaville, Horine, Antonia, Dittmer, Ware, Otto, Scottsdale, Fletcher and Byrnesville and of course our home town of Hematite MO.
Jefferson County is a great place to live. With 11 accredited Public Schools and 15 Private Schools the area has plenty to offer everyones needs. We have 11 County Parks and numeous city parks. 30% of Jefferson County is still farm land, it offers many choices to new residents. There are modestly priced existing homes, New homes and affordable acreage to build the larger custom designed homes.
